An action-packed thrill read

This book is so well-paced and the action is very believable. I could hardly put it down to cook supper.
Take the actions of a solicitor who thinks highly of himself and can not help but flaunt what he has, couple this with an offer from a wealthy mobster type with IRA connections, and you have some serious trouble. Double this because when this solicitor decides to rob the mobster, he brings his brother-in-law, and a dubious newspaper man into his scheme. Add to this a conniving group of terrorists, an IRA hitman with a fondness for lemon lollies, and a ruthless Pakistani hitman with a fondness for flowing blood and a woman who only wants to protect her child. The pages can not be turned fast enough.

A Cracking Yarn

Well that was a thoroughly enjoyable read. Anthony Hulse has a talent for introducing the reader to characters that get right under your skin. This honestly is a cracking yarn with the adventures taking us to Florida, New York, Islamabad, London, Wales, Athens and I can’t think where else. And with so many twists in the story you’re not really too sure who the goodies are, who the baddies are – well, you certainly know who the real baddies are - but in extraordinary and implausible fashion you find yourself actually liking one or two of the bad guys, disliking the good guys, not trusting other good guys, admiring some surprising character traits in normally weak people and not really too sure what you want to happen to the stolen money.
If I had to pick a fault, it would be that I found Jessica a little insipid for a Brooklyn chick. Detroit girls might be tough but, as the saying goes New York chicks have fire and ice in their veins. They can throw left hooks and drink with the boys, and if they’ve got an opinion you’re going to hear it! Jessica wasn’t resilient enough for a New York chick.
But she’s a minor player in the story, and all in all I was very sad when this book came to an end. I’ll be looking out for more from this talented writer.

Action-Packed Thriller

The characters and the action in this book will pull you in from the first page. When you've turned the last page, you're disappointed to find "the end".
Blood Money, by Anthony Hulse, is a well-crafted mystery/thriller. The ending is not what you expect.
